Sleepwalk

This is one of my favourite instrumental songs. It reached number one on Billboard's Top 40 in 1959. It was composed and recorded by Santo & Johnny (Farina).

  1. I think my Dad had this on an album. :)

He had a lot of those instrumental and 'percussion' albums - the ones that switched from one speaker to the other, when the magic of "Stereo" was in its infancy.

    Nice song!

    June :)

  2. There were a number of great pop instrumental songs over the years.

The melodic sound of a steel guitar is to my ears what a pretty girl is to my eyes.

  3. this is falling in love music to my ears, your heart starts beating rappedly and your mouth starts to water, and you just want to be held tighter and tighter into a warm embrace, and you can feel the a soft kiss just barely brushing across your lips and you desire more but you hold back....and nice love making song, but the pictures were priceless

  5. This has always been one of my favorite pieces of music. I find it very sad. It makes me think of the bittersweet passing away of life. The past fades; everything slowly falls away like autumn leaves. I'm not good with prose, but I don't have to be, because this song says it in a wordless language.

  6. The beauty of music is that it can touch each of us in different ways and for different reasons.

Good music touches my soul as much as being in love touches my heart. It is a gift and a miracle.
